Martha Stewart Says Ryan Reynolds' Real Life Is “Not That Interesting”
Martha Stewart is getting real about her neighbor, actor Ryan Reynolds.
Earlier this week, during an appearance on the Bilt Rewards Rent Free Game Show, Stewart told Bilt CEO and founder Uncle Jayne that the Deadpool actor is “not that funny” in real life.
The remark came after Jayne asked Stewart, “Who do you think is the most fun celebrity to hang out with?
“He's probably on that list because he hides himself in movies and never shows his face. Stewart replied. Is Ryan Reynolds on that list too?” Stewart replied. No, he's not that funny. He's very serious.
“He's a good actor,” Stewart continued. 'He can act funny, but he's not funny. He could be funny again ... He's my neighbor.
Stewart explained that his personal list of funny celebrities includes Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Snoop Dogg, and Taylor Swift.
“I would leave Ryan off [the list] and put someone else in,” she added.
Reynolds, never one to shy away from social media, responded to Stewart's viral comment via X (formerly known as Twitter) on Saturday, November 2.
“I disagree with her opinion. 'But I did it once. The lady is unexpectedly fine. She really closed the gap in a mile or so.”
Of course, fans of both Stewart and Reynolds love the exchange.
“It's been a wild year, but my 2024 bingo card didn't have Ryan Reynolds and Martha Stewart's ‘get off my lawn’ level feud,” one fan posted on X.
“And she's dry Aviation Gin Martini in hand and did it...” another fan wrote, referring to Reynolds' Portland, Oregon-based co-owned gin company; in 2020, Reynolds sold his stake in the company for $610 million.
“If you're not in the mood, just be a serious Ryan,” one fan posted.
Reynolds recently made history with his latest film, Deadpool & Wolverine.
Meanwhile, Stewart is promoting her new cookbook, “Martha: The Cookbook: 100 Favorite Recipes, with Lessons and Stories from My Kitchen),” which premiered on Netflix last month. She is promoting her documentary “Martha.”
