Margot Robbie Becomes a Mom, Gives Birth to First Child with Husband Tom Ackerley
Margot Robbie is officially a mom!
“Barbie” star Margot has given birth to her first child, a boy, with husband Tom Ackerley, a source told People on Saturday, November 2.
The child's name, official birth date and time, height, and weight have not yet been revealed. Sources also confirmed via the Daily Mail that the two welcomed a boy into the world.
Robbie and Ackerley have yet to publicly comment or announce the birth of their son.
Just three weeks ago, a source told People that the actress was “spending time in Los Angeles, preparing for the baby's arrival.”
“She looks great. She is usually one of the hardest working actresses in Hollywood. But she seems to be enjoying some downtime from filming right now,” a source told the magazine at the time, adding that Robbie is ”still working a little.”
“She likes to keep busy,” the source added.
In July, several sources confirmed to People that Robbie was pregnant and expecting her first child. Shortly after the news became public, Robbie broke the news for the first time since giving birth at Wimbledon, sporting a chic maternity look.
At the time, Robbie chose a black and white polka-dot dress draped with Alaia. She draped a cape of the same fabric over one shoulder and sliced the asymmetrical skirt above the knee.
Robbie also showed off her growing baby bump in August while enjoying a vacation on the Italian island of Sardinia in the Mediterranean. According to photos obtained by People at the time, Robbie wore a black plant and a white button-up top that was left wide open, exposing her bare, pregnant belly.
Robbie and Ackerley married in December 2016 in the Barbie star's native Australia.
In a 2016 interview with Sunday Style, Starr hinted that she wanted a larger family, having grown up with three siblings.
“I grew up in a family of four [children], so that sounds like a good number,” the actress said at the time, according to the Daily Mail.
“I want to put my family on the back burner because I know that once I have kids, they will be my priority.”
