Here's Why Tom Holland Googled His Girlfriend Zendaya

It turns out that actor Tom Holland searches for his girlfriend's name online as much as we do.

During an appearance on the latest episode of Samah Dada's “On The Menu” podcast, the actor admitted that the last thing he “Googled” was “actually Zendaya.”

“The last thing I Googled was actually Zendaya,” Holland said at the time.

“I don't [do social media], and when I don't use it, I delete it. So sometimes I get a little nervous, but I check in to make sure everything's okay and that we're cool.”

The Spiderman star explained that occasionally “I do a little Google on her and look through the news.”

“And I'm like, ‘She's good,’” he added.

The idea of a major Hollywood star googling his romantic partner may be surprising, but what is not is the fact that Holland is wildly protective of his Euphoria star girlfriend. Just recently, he made headlines for protecting Zendaya from a swarm of paparazzi.

On October 24, Zendaya was enjoying a date night in New York when she was swarmed by fans and photographers after the two got out of their respective cars.

After briefly separating from his girlfriend, who kindly stopped to sign an autograph, Holland returned to Zendaya, held her hand, and tried to guide her through the growing crowd. When the photographer refused to move, Holland asked for some space and politely moved out of the way so the couple could continue entering the restaurant.

Clips of the exchange quickly went viral on social media, with a flood of comments praising Holland for handling what was clearly an overwhelming situation.

“They were not only crowding her, they were trying to push him away.

“TOM HOLLAND THE MAN THAT YOU ARE 🧎‍♂️🧎‍♂️🧎‍♂️” was also written.

“He was just trying to push her away.

“He does better security work than actual security,” commented another.

In an interview with Elle in 2023, Zendaya opened up about life in the spotlight and what her and her boyfriend's fame means for their relationship.

“Part of my life, I will embrace and be public. As a person, I can't not live my life and love the people I love,” she told the magazine at the time.

“But I can control what I share. It's about keeping the peace, about owning things and not being afraid to be present at the same time. 'You can't hide,' she continued. 'It's not fun either. I'm navigating that now more than ever.”
