Princess Eugenie reportedly in “precarious position” between Prince Harry and King Charles

Much has been reported about Princess Eugenie's role in the alleged rift in the royal family: in July, it was claimed that Eugenie and her sister Princess Beatrice had not been in touch with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for “quite some time.” Conflicting reports suggested that both York sisters were “still good friends” with Harry, even if the alleged rift was “really stressful” for them. Now, a royal source reports that Princess Eugenie is stuck in the middle of the royal family rift.

“Eugenie has always been close to Harry, which puts her in a difficult situation, but she is very concerned that this relationship could upset other family members,” one source told the Express.

“It's a rather precarious position for her and one that requires a delicate balancing act,” the source continued. The source continued, “The Yorks want to maintain a good relationship with the senior royals after recent events, so [Eugenie] definitely doesn't want to do anything that would interfere with the family's recent good efforts.”

In October 2023, a source close to the Yorks said of Eugenie and Prince Harry's close bond, Hello!

“For Harry, Eugenie is a royal he can count on,” Dr. Anthony Wallersteiner, a family friend, told the magazine.

“Those cousins are very close, and I think that's a good thing, and I think Eugenie is a bridge between Harry and the rest of the family.

In the same interview, Wallersteiner reflected on Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's royal wedding at St. George's Chapel in October 2018.

“It was a joyous and happy affair,” he explained. 'It was lovely to see the whole Royal Family come together to celebrate Jack and Eugenie's wedding. It was also great to have Harry and Meghan there. Everyone was together and of course the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were there."

He continued.

He continued, ” A lot has changed in the last five years for the Royal Family, but this goes back to a time when there was a real moment of togetherness and family bonding.”
