Jennifer Lawrence's Second Pregnancy Style Era Begins at Mast Shop
The moment I heard that Jennifer Lawrence announced her second pregnancy, I knew the fashion world was in for a stylish maternity outfit. Not the bump-revealing cutouts and sheer fabrics of Haley Bieber and Rihanna. Instead, I thought Lawrence would stick to the cool-girl minimalist look. Loose tops, slouchy pants, it-girl Alaia ballet flat shoes, and lots of The Row. Minimalist, but not trying too hard at all. Needless to say, Lawrence is already a success.
Over the weekend, Lawrence was spotted with husband Cook Maloney wearing one of the first looks of her pregnancy. The actor wore a buttery yellow Bode shirt over a pair of slouchy black pants, which Lawrence draped half unbuttoned and half unbuttoned. A trendy bright red leather half-moon bag, tinted sunglasses, and suede flat shoes from The Row completed her look.
The template didn't look much different from the outfits Jennifer Lawrence wore around New York City this summer before her pregnancy: when heading to a facial at Stallë Studios, she wore a burgundy button-up; when running errands, she wore the consecutive days, I copied and pasted the same button-up shirt outfit. The no-holds-barred feel-good star favors easygoing layers and flowing pants.
As much as I can appreciate maternity crop tops and mommy-to-be naked dresses, I am inspired by Jennifer Lawrence's current take on pregnancy style. The second look from this era, with a cherry red sweater draped over her shoulders and accented with a white t-shirt, proves my point. Both outfits are comfortable and accommodating to her growing bump, but there is also a prestigious edge to her choice of shoes and luxe fabrics. Most importantly, the overall effect is the same as what Lawrence wore before. So perhaps there is a similarity in the exaggerated maternity outfits of her star colleagues: they have all remained true to their own style at every stage of their lives.
