Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi reveals why he is rarely home with his pregnant wife, Princess Beatrice.

Earlier this month, Buckingham Palace announced that Princess Beatrice is expecting her second child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. In a new interview with the Financial Times, Mappelli Mozzi opened up about balancing work and family.

Princess Beatrice and Mapelli Mozzi are expecting their first child, a daughter, Sienna Elizabeth, in 2021. Beatrice is also the stepmother of Christopher Wolfe (aka Wolfie), whom Mapeli Mozzi had with her former lover, Darrah Huang.

Speaking to the Financial Times, Mapeli Mozzi said she is “always on the train” because of her real estate business. Princess Beatrice's husband also told “Hello! magazine, and also goes on “antique procurement trips and auctions in Belgium, France, and Italy,” according to the magazine. As a result, it seems that Mapelli Mozzi is incredibly busy and is rarely home with his pregnant wife Beatrice or daughter Sienna.

Mapelli Mozzi founded Banda in 2007 when he was only 23 years old, Hello! magazine reported. The magazine notes that “in addition to the London project, Banda is also active in New Delhi, Milan, the Alps, LA, and the Hamptons.” According to the magazine, Mapelli Mozzi's latest project, Banda Gallery, is “a shoppable curation of art, furniture, and homeware.”

According to a Financial Times profile, Mapelli Mozzi continues to be excited about interior design and decorating. He states, “Design is an important part of our emotional state.” As he continues to expand his business empire, Mapelli Mozzi seems to be firmly focused on the future, saying, “This is just the beginning.”

On October 1, Buckingham Palace announced Beatrice's pregnancy news in a press release. It read, “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce that they are expecting their second child in early spring.

The press release continued, “His Majesty the King has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”
