Martha Stewart gives out “a little cash” for Halloween trick-or-treating.
Martha Stewart is the reference for millions of people when it comes to hosting holiday celebrations.
But this entrepreneur's talents are not limited to Thanksgiving and Christmas: she also throws Halloween parties.
As part of her celebrations, Stewart prepares little goody bags for trick-or-treaters who happen to walk through her door on October 31, which seemingly are handed to the children by members of her staff.
“We decorate the house inside and out,” Stewart explained to Vogue in a recent interview. 'We live on a farm now, so the gates are always decorated, and the guards have to open the gates for the trick-or-treating kids. I always give the kids an assortment of candy (quite a few bags of candy) and a little cash.”
Of course, it is more likely that Stewart is giving the kids a dollar or two in a piggy bank, but personally, I find it much more fun to imagine her handing out $100 bills to the neighborhood kids (as we have already discussed this week, celebrity chefs are very rich).
When a reporter asked Stewart to confirm whether trick-or-treaters would actually come to her house, she replied, “I don't know! That's what I've been told. But I don't stay home on Halloween. I try to go out.”
Over the years, Stewart has wowed fans with her elaborate costumes (though not as much as Heidi Klum, it must be said).
This year, “I could be Queen Elizabeth,” she told Vogue magazine. That beautiful outfit (that graced the cover of Martha Stewart Living magazine) is hanging in my basement, ready to be worn. But I have to do my hair that way. It took me a long time to do my hair.
One of Stewart's most iconic costumes is her 2013 fairy godmother outfit, but there are many other great costumes out there.
She also dressed up as a boogie border in 1998:
and a sexy black cat in 2006:
We look forward to the next one!
