Kate Moss gives away her closet's best looks for one purpose

Supermodel Kate Moss' best looks are often copied and pasted directly from the runway. Whether she's wearing a naked dress or Balenciaga's over-the-top faux fur, her archives and the racks of clothes that crowd Fashion Week's biggest catwalks are often the same. But she is ready to share her wealth for one purpose.

The recent Victoria's Secret fashion show breakout is one of several influential women who are opening up their closets for a special sale with The RealReal. More than 230 pieces of ready-to-wear, jewelry, shoes, and handbags directly from the wardrobes of Julianne Moore, Emmy Rossum, Natasha Lyonne, and, of course, Kate Moss are available for purchase, from $50 up to $3,500.

Kate Moss is showing a marigold yellow suit and bubbly lavender Givenchy clogs from Marc Jacobs' Spring 2020 runway. (Order them together and you'll have a supermodel shortcut to mix and match pastels.) They sit alongside Parker Posey's leather boots from his party girl days and Julianne Moore's first YSL bag. Director Janicza Bravo exhibited three geeky-chic pairs of Miu Miu loafers and flats, and Natasha Lyonne exhibited a very trendy bubble dress by Comme des Garcons. Veronica Webb, Marisa Tomei, Cleo Wade, and Rebecca Hall also put their best designer pieces on sale, from twee Chanel jackets to Prada bowler bags.

These people of good taste are not simply getting rid of their clothes to buy a Birkin bag. Their sweep supports The RealReal's $25,000 donation to the nonprofit organization Conservation International in honor of National Consignment Month.

But if they are doing it purely to free up closet space, I would still at least browse. It's not every day you get a chance to buy Kate Moss's best look.
