Pregnant Princess Beatrice spends a glamorous evening of velvet and ribbons with Princess Diana's nieces

Little black dresses don't have to be boring, as Princess Beatrice proved at two lavish events in London on Tuesday, October 22. The princess, who is expecting her second child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, looked regal in a Rebecca Valance 1980s-inspired puff-sleeved dress as she and Nicky Hilton celebrated the designer's new collection. But the evening didn't stop there, as she later attended a dinner hosted by Estee Lauder and Harrods with Princess Diana's glamorous nieces, Kitty, Amelia, and Eliza Spencer.

Princess Beatrice supported Australian designer Valance in one of her signature ribbon-trimmed designs, a black velvet midi with sparkling silver ribbons crisscrossing the keyhole cutouts at the bust. However, the royal wore a black camisole-like piece under the dress, keeping things a bit more subdued

.

She kept the sparkle with black Roger Vivier low-heeled pumps trimmed with crystal buckles and carried a black clutch bag with a shimmering edge at the dinner, which was held in the hotspot of Gaia. Jewelry was kept simple with a number of delicate gold bracelets, one of which was personalized with a charm engraved with a “B.”

Beatrice definitely knows what works when it comes to style. Her look evoked memories of the black polka-dot Saloni dress she wore to Royal Ascot 2022, which featured similar bow detailing and puff sleeves.

Nicky Hilton celebrated her new collaboration with Rebecca Valance with her own design, an off-the-shoulder maroon sequin mini dress with rosette trim at the bust.

Hilton, who recently unveiled a holiday capsule of dresses trimmed with feminine details like lace, sequins, and pearls, wore her hair down in beachy waves and finished the look with red Gucci slingback heels and a giant diamond flower ring.

Identical twins Amelia and Eliza Spencer, whose father is Princess Diana's brother, Count Spencer, also attended the party, and both wore items from Nicky Hilton's new collection. The twins, who recently coordinated with their sister Kitty in an icy blue gown with Prince William at the Center Point Awards, chose a very different look for Tuesday night's party.

Amelia opted for a pearl-encrusted black mini dress with see-through sleeves and a Peter Pan collar, adding a pop of color with a clutch trimmed with a pink bow. (I will personally be stalking Rebecca Valance's site for a sale on this dress until the end of the day.) Eliza, meanwhile, went for a bold red sequin look, wearing a long-sleeved belted midi dress from Hilton's new collaboration with silver sandals and a matching evening bag.

Later, sister Kitty, a longtime Dolce & Gabbana ambassador, joined her sisters (and Princess Beatrice) at the aforementioned Estee Lauder dinner to promote her favorite brand.

The model brought the energy of Princess Diana's Revenge dress to the party in a sleek black Dolce & Gabbana velvet strapless midi, paired with Roger Vivier shoes nearly identical to Princess Beatrice's. So, royal fans, the twins win.
