Princess Diana met everyone from George Michael to John Travolta before her tragic death in 1997, but one star not necessarily associated with Diana is Billy Crystal On Wednesday, October 23, the actor appeared on his latest project, “Before The View” to promote his latest project, ‘Before,’ and during an interview with the show's co-stars, he revealed some surprising (and hilarious) stories about the late Princess Diana.

In a video released by the show on X, Crystal revealed that Princess Diana attended the November 1989 premiere of “When Harry Met Sally” in London, where she and co-star Meg Ryan not only got to meet Princess Diana, but actually sat next to her during the screening! She revealed that not only did she get to meet Princess Diana, but she actually sat next to her during the screening.

“She's on my left and Meg is on her left. So it's me, Rob [Reiner], Princess [Diana], and Meg. So we sat together on the balcony of the theater. When we walked in, the trumpets were blaring, which happens in every movie theater,” Crystal said with a laugh. Ryan said, 'Do you believe who she is?

If you've seen the classic romantic comedy (and if you haven't, you will soon), you'll be familiar with the iconic scene where Ryan's character fakes an orgasm.

“Then the deli scene happens, and everyone in the audience below us is now looking back at how the princess reacts to Meg faking an orgasm,” the actor said. Crystal was curious how she would take Ryan's blushing performance, but he was totally unprepared for what would happen.

“Then she started laughing. It was a low, barking laugh, not the kind of laugh you would expect from Princess Diana. He admitted, “It was the kind of laugh that if we were dating, I don't think I would ever see her again.”

“'That laugh! She's beautiful, but the laugh,” Crystal told the women of The View. He apparently turned down the date, but the “City Slickers” star said Princess was “unbelievable.”

“It was a great night. And it was really nice to meet her,” he concluded.
