Princess Kate and Prince William's Uncut Podcast Interview “Would Have Surprised the Public

Mike Tyndall opened up about Prince William and Princess Kate's appearance on his podcast “The Good, the Bad & the Rugby” in September 2023. And according to the former rugby player, royal fans would be shocked to hear the full interview.

Tindall, who is married to Princess Anne's daughter Zara Tindall, has written a new book, The Good, the Bad & the Rugby-Unleashed, with fellow rugby players and co-hosts Alex Payne and James Haskell. In the book, Mike recounts the recording of a special episode of the podcast with Princess Anne, Kate Middleton, and Prince William at the Green Drawing Room at Windsor Castle on September 6, 2023.

In an excerpt from the book published in the Daily Mail, Mike writes of the Crown Prince and Princess, “I'm not sure how I feel about them. It was not because I thought they were boring people (I already knew they weren't), but because I knew how carefully everything about the royal family was managed.”

However, listeners did not get to hear everything Kate and William recorded for the show, which Mike regrets. He said, “I think the podcast humanized them a little bit.

Listeners missed the uncut version of the episode, but were able to gain insight into Prince William and Princess Kate's home life. During the episode, Prince William spoke about the important life lessons he wants to teach his three children (Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis).

“Learning to lose, I think that's something we need to focus on more now,” the British prince explained via the Mirror. 'I don't think people know how to lose well. I think people don't know how to lose well, and I want them to understand that, especially when it comes to their children.”

He continued. 'I think it's really important from a very young age to understand how and why you lose, to grow out of that, and to learn what you can from that process.' William explained. There are so many life lessons that we get from our childhood playing team sports that will help us throughout our lives, whether it's friendship building, relationship building, or the workplace."

He added, ”I think it's really important that we learn from our childhood, and that we learn from the process of losing.
