Sofia Richie bravely incorporates $1,150 Bottega Veneta sandals into casual concert attire

When I dress for a concert, I think about comfort more than anything else, as I did when I reported on the costume change for Taylor Swift's Reputation Tour in Miami last week. 3 hours is a long time to spend standing still (and I stand and dance throughout the set). (and I dance standing up for the whole set). I am willing to sacrifice aesthetics to fully enjoy the moment. However, no one takes pictures of me and my ergonomic shoes on the stand.

That's all I have to say: when I saw the shoes Sophia Richie Grainge chose to attend Paris Hilton's Los Angeles concert on October 24, I was impressed. She threw concert comfort out the window and instead showed up at the Hollywood Palladium wearing a pair of metallic Bottega Veneta “Cha Cha” sandals. (Retail price: $1,150.)

Her shiny four-inch heels were literally the high point of an otherwise intimate and casual concert outfit. Taking a cue from Saint Laurent fans Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber, Richie Grainge layered an oversized YSL bomber jacket over a white T-shirt and wide-leg jeans. The latter seems to be from Still Here, a New York-based label she is known for wearing in street style.

I can imagine her wearing the exact same wardrobe staples to any fall concert, but perhaps with a pair of Adidas sneakers or relatively supportive ballet flats. One has to admire Sofia Richie Grainge's willingness to raise the bar with towering mule sandals.

Sofia Richie Grainge has been steadily stepping into the fashion spotlight since the birth of her daughter, Eloise, in May. Last weekend, she attended the vintage-inspired Academy Museum Gala red carpet in a fire-red Fendi gown. Her feet were hidden by the hem of her dress, but she was probably wearing heels. If we ever meet, I'd love to know which designer's sneakers will finally get Richie Grainge's seal of approval.
