Princess Elisabeth, also known as the Duchess of Brabant, recently celebrated her 23rd birthday. The princess is heir to the Belgian throne and seems to draw inspiration from Kate Middleton when it comes to style choices.

The official Instagram account of the Belgian royal family shared a post dedicated to Princess Elisabeth on her 23rd birthday. In the photo, the princess was seen wearing black suede boots with a coordinating midi skirt and wrap vest set by Parisian brand Ba&sh. She accessorized her outfit with gold hoop earrings and wore her hair in loose curls.

The caption read, “Princess Elisabeth celebrates her 23rd spring today! Thanks for the birthday wishes (from the US)!”

Princess Elisabeth entered Harvard University in Boston in September, where she is studying for a master's degree in public policy, according to Tatler. Before coming to the U.S., Elisabeth earned a degree in history and politics from Lincoln College at Oxford University.

As the eldest daughter of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium, 23-year-old Princess Elisabeth is the heir to the throne. She grew up with three siblings, Prince Gabriel (20), Prince Emmanuel (18), and Princess Eleonore (15).

In March 2023, Elisabeth gave her first interview during an official visit to Egypt, as reported by Belga News Agency. Elisabeth praised the work being done at Dayr-al-Barsha by archaeologists from the University of Leuven and paid tribute to her family members.

“They are both inspirational figures to me,” Elisabeth said of her mother, Queen Mathilde, and her great-grandmother, Queen Elisabeth of Belgium, who died in 1965. 'I admire Queen Elisabeth very much. She was adventurous and had a passion for music as well as Egypt. She was also passionate about contributing to society. I am happy to say that I may want to be like her in the future.”

She continued, “She was a very energetic and dynamic person. She is energetic, dynamic, and passionate about listening to others and putting the spotlight on their work.”
