[Last weekend, Alwyn and Jenner attended the 4th Annual Academy Museum Gala at the Academy Film Museum in Los Angeles, and photos of them posing together at the event became a social media sensation, leading Swift fans to believe that the two are coupling and Swift fans thought that the two might be coupled up.

Swiffies quickly gathered on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) to discuss a possible relationship between Aliun and Jenner. And fans like TikTok user hankatherinee revealed all, wondering why this possible relationship was being discussed extensively by fans of a person who was not even suspected.

“It looks like it's heading towards a Kendall Jenner-Joe Alwyn relationship, which would drive a lot of people crazy,” said hankatherinee in a video explaining why the Alwyn-Jenner pairing has Swift fans on edge.

“Knowing Taylor's past with Kim and Kanye, Swift fans will go crazy, and since Joe is Taylor's ex, it would be wild for him to date Kerr Jenner.”

Meanwhile, TikTok user @420blaziken13 debunked the same reasoning in a more personal way in a video with a caption describing Alwyn and Jenner's interaction as “very dystopian.”

“I'm sorry, but if my ex-boyfriend of 6 years posted with his ex-friend who is also the sister of the girl who ruined my life, I think I, would lose my reason,” @420blaziken13 said.

On X, from GIFs of shock, to passionate calls for everyone not to pay attention to this, to “liking” Jenner's post to GIFs of Alwyn looking sideways as she pressed “Like!” on Jenner's post, there was a wide range of reactions.

All of this could mean that Alwyn and Jenner are becoming a thing, or that the two just happened to be at the same event at one point, smiled for the camera together, and became close enough to double-tap while Instagram doom scrolling could mean.
