Kate Middleton rethinks her favorite fall jacket for Prince Louis' soccer game
In a rare public appearance after her chemotherapy treatments ended, Princess Kate welcomed the fall by wearing her favorite jacket and cheering on her son, Prince Louis.
On Saturday, October 12, the princess was spotted at her youngest son's soccer game, reported one fellow mother in attendance and several media outlets, including GB News and the Daily Express. [TikToker @royalteaandtarot posted. 'So most weekends I take my son to watch soccer games. And as usual we went to the soccer game and when we arrived there were a lot of people chatting and it was a little weird, not the usual atmosphere.
“And I went up to one of my friends who I see there every week and said, 'What's going on, what's all the excitement? ' And I couldn't believe what she said. She said, 'Turn around and there [is] Princess Kate.'”
In the video, Kate Middleton is wearing one of her favorite fall go-to jackets, a caramel-colored Barbour x Alex Chung jacket. [Royal fans will recognize this jacket as it is the same one worn by the Princess of Wales in April 2023 for an event at a rugby club in South Wales.
To complete her fall look, Middleton wore a pair of brown pants, a light brown scarf, and an olive green cap from Really Wild Clothing.
The low-key outing was one of the Princess of Wales' first public appearances since announcing earlier this year that she had been diagnosed with cancer and had completed chemotherapy. A few days earlier, Middleton accompanied her husband Prince William on an official visit to Southport, England, this summer to meet with family members and first responders affected by the tragic knife attack that killed three girls during a Taylor Swift-themed dance class.
For this important visit, which also included speaking with the parents of victims Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7, Bebe King, 6, and Alice DaSilva Aguiar, 9, the Crown Prince and Crown Princess color coordinated in matching burgundy outfits.
Middleton layered a Merlot polka-dot pussy-ribbon dress from Whistles under a custom Alexander McQueen double-breasted coat that fell to her calves.
The outfit is not unlike the one she wore two weeks ago when she visited the girl and cancer patient, 16-year-old photographer Liz Hutton. During that visit, the royal wore a suit by Laurent Mouret.
