A little-known secret weapon of the British Royal Family

King Charles III has a clear vision for the future of the monarchy, favoring a slimming down of the current royal family, led by himself, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Princess Kate. While families such as Princess Anne and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh still perform numerous functions, there is one humble royal family that has captured the hearts of the British public and one former royal official.

Paul Burrell, a former royal butler, told “Marie Claire” on behalf of Spin Genie, not to disrespect Princess Anne's daughter, Zara Tindall, 43, and her husband, Mike Tindall, 45, if they attend royal affairs.

With Princess Kate still recovering from cancer, Prince Harry living in California, and the King and Queen getting older, it seems likely that some of the younger royals will be asked to take over the event, despite Prince Charles' vision. Burrell says that the Tyndall family, especially Mike, could be the answer. [Burrell, who served Queen Elizabeth as a footman and later as Princess Diana's butler, calls Mike “a breath of fresh air to the royal family” and says that “Prince Charles likes Zara and Mike so much that the public will see [more] of Zara.”

“Mike has surprised me,” he continues, describing the former professional rugby player as “a normal man who has dealt with marrying into that organization, which is no easy task.”

Ironically, in an excerpt from Tyndall's forthcoming book, “The Good, the Bad & the Rugby - Unleashed,” shared by The Telegraph on October 14, Mike writes, “I was always a good man. They were always nice to me and I was always nice to them. It's really that simple.”

Perhaps it was Mike Tyndall's down-to-earth personality that made it “easy” for him to fit in with Prince Charles and his family.

“I think that's why he's so well liked,” Burrell added, noting that Queen Elizabeth “liked him.”

The former butler added, “I'd like to see Zara and Mike filling in for the king here and there.

Mike occasionally performs little quips about his famous in-laws on his podcast, and has appeared on the popular British reality show I'm A Celebrity.... .Get Me Out Of Here,” but notes that Burrell has not cashed in on his connection to the family.

“I think he was completely discreet, even though as a celebrity he was on TV in his own right,” Burrell told Marie Claire. 'He never let the family down. When the late queen fell ill, he was at the center of the royal family. No, because he was discreet and loyal to the family."

However, a royal commentator suggested that there may be a good reason for him to keep his mouth shut. He said, “Listen, I am not disloyal to Princess Anne. I don't want to take the side of Princess Anne. She is the one who tells you what to do,” he said.

Given the stories that have resurfaced about her surprising criminal history, Burrell may be right.
