Cara Delevingne on the Bolero Trend in the Fuzziest Brown Jacket
Cara Delevingne did not show up at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2024. But the British runway veteran did make an appearance the next night wearing one of the top trends of the star-studded show: a large fur bolero. K-pop star Lisa, for example, appeared at the show in a chrome chain bolero. Then models Bella Hadid and Laila Moss hit the runway in furry red and blush pink boleros. Alessandra Ambrosio then appeared at the after party in a see-through black corset dress and fur bolero by Dolce & Gabbana.
At the grand re-opening of the Burberry flagship store in New York on October 16, Delevigne showed off her on-trend take on a cropped chunky camel faux fur jacket embellished with gold military-style buckles. Given the recent cold weather in New York, she layered this fuzzy fall statement piece over a cream turtleneck sweater for added warmth.
The Suicide Squad actor paired her cozy coat with her best maxi skirt, which had a thigh-high slit and a hunter green plaid lining. Honestly, why don't skirts have patterned linings that glimpse more often?
Both pieces are from Burberry's Fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection, which debuted in London on February 19. Of course, Delevigne deviated from the original runway styling by swapping her gray engineer boots, pictured below, for black wedge-heel loafers.
She also carried a small Burberry rocking horse crossbody with a silver “b” clasp, a bag previously seen on Mrs. Amelia Windsor during Fashion Month.
Cara Delevingne did not reunite with the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show alum at her Victoria's Secret runway comeback earlier this week, but she did walk at the opening of Burberry's Tyra Banks and Cher, who performed, were with her. But if this is the closest we'll ever get to seeing Delevigne's iconic eyebrows strutting down the Victoria's Secret runway again, I can live with that. After all, she could still meet Cher.
