Andrew Garfield brings cardboard cutout of Florence Pugh to “We Live In Time” premiere

[When Florence Pugh couldn't make it to the BFI London Film Festival on Thursday, October 17, co-star Andrew Garfield got a little tactful. Instead of posing on the red carpet for the unveiling of his new film, “We Live in Time,” co-star Andrew Garfield brought a life-size cardboard cutout of Pugh.

The “Spider-Man: No Way Home” actor hilariously posed with the cutout featuring the “Don't Worry Darling” star in the same see-through black outfit he wore when he attended a screening of “We Live in Time” with Garfield last month. Cardboard Pugh posed with one leg crossed over the other in a Dior ensemble with a sheer dotted skirt and a black bra under a lace top.

As for Garfield, he wore a custom-made blue suit designed by Valentino creative director Alessandro Michele with a quirky paisley shirt and a Valentino Garavani scarf to the event. In the film, Pugh's character is diagnosed with cancer, which causes a rift in their relationship.

The “shy” actor told People that he was “nervous” at first when he got to meet the “Little Women” star, but eventually developed a strong rapport with Pugh.

“I think we were both really scared and nervous because it takes time to get to know somebody,” he said. 'There are layers there. There are defenses there.'

Garfield admitted that he can be “pretty shy and pretty protective,” and that sometimes it takes time for “someone to really get to know you,” but once you gain his trust, it's full speed ahead.

“I knew right away that I could trust her, that she wanted to have fun, that she wanted to play,” the actor said, adding, “It's like catnip to me.” Garfield said he didn't take things too seriously on the set, revealing, “I pissed on her and she really enjoyed it.”

Apparently he “took the piss” again with his cardboard antics.
