Meryl Streep and Martin Short went out on another date, although they are not officially dating.

Streep and Short were spotted in town again at Giorgi Baldi, a Santa Monica restaurant famous as a favorite date spot for celebrities. It is the go-to of Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, the cause of the dating rumors fueled by Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian and Angelina Jolie and The Weeknd, and where Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck celebrated their first wedding anniversary.

The “Only Murder in the Building” co-stars were photographed heading to the restaurant on October 16. Short was seen gently guiding Streep with his hand on her waist, and they were also photographed laughing hysterically together, as seen in a photo shared by @deuxmoi on Instagram.

Streep and Short, whose OMITB characters are romantically involved, have sparked rumors of a real-life relationship since they were photographed looking really, really happy together at the Golden Globe Awards in January. However, Short's rep quickly quashed the rumors, telling People at the time that the two were “just very good friends, nothing more.”

That same month, Short himself told Bill Maher, “We are not a couple. We are very close friends.”

Nevertheless, they were seen together at Giorgi Baldi in February and attended the Broadway production of Merrily We Roll Along together in March.

And Short and Streep added fuel to the fire by holding hands at the after-party for the season 4 premiere of Only Murders. But shortly thereafter, in September, Streep's rep insisted to Page Six that the two were “just friends.”

Late last year, news broke that Streep and her husband of 45 years, Don Gummer, had been separated for six years. They have children Henry (44), Mamie (41), Grace (38), and Louisa (33).

Short, by the way, was married to Nancy Dolman from 1980 to 2010, and they have Katherine (40), Oliver (38), and Henry (35).
