J.Lo has surpassed Ben. Now he is crazy about Oscar.
To say that 2024 was a tough year for Jennifer Lopez may be an understatement. She filed for divorce from husband Ben Affleck (and on their second wedding anniversary), canceled an extensive tour, and failed to make a big splash with her new album. But according to several sources, the pop star has no such plans for 2025.
“She wants next year to be her best year ever. She will rise to the occasion,” one insider told the Daily Mail. In fact, Lopez may be unstoppable in 2025.
She may be the “Jenny on the block,” but Lopez plans to be the Jenny at the Oscars. She wants to win an Oscar for “Unstoppable,” said one source, who called her performance in the film “sensational.”
“I saw the movie and wow, she's perfect. She's so glamorous, I think a lot of people underestimate her acting ability, but this movie woke me up.
The official continued, “Jen wanted and deserved an Oscar for ‘Hustlers,’” further motivating her to win next year. This official added, “It also helps that she is now seen as a victim of her divorce from Affleck.” 'Voters may want to give her the award.'
The Oscar is not the only thing the star has in mind; according to Page Six, Lopez recently released “This Is Me... Now,” and despite the critical acclaim for the album, he plans to release a new album.
A source told the magazine that Lopez “wants a big dance hit” and that “her priority [career-wise] is music. Critics say it's the Lopez of old. She needs a big banger."
The magazine also reported that Lopez ”has a lot of talent, but she's not a big dancer.
And despite the fact that she was forced to cancel her 2024 tour amid her marital woes, a new lineup of shows appears to be back on J.Lo's calendar. According to the Daily Mail, “When Jen canceled her tour earlier this year, it was with the intention of doing it in 2025.
The source added that fans can look forward to “a greatest hits tour with all the glitz and glamour” and that the stars “will look fabulous in all those sexy outfits.”
Get excited, Jen.
