Hailey Bieber remixes her rich-girl fall uniform with a shiny khaki trench coat and blue loafers

As soon as the smell of fall tickles my nose, my usual pop-punk, fashion-editorial aesthetic goes out the window and all I want to wear is a rich-girl khaki trench coat.

The equestrian vibe and neutral color palette feels a far cry from the adult Hot Topic look, but I can't stop myself from wearing it. This “old money” fall uniform always makes me feel effortless, classy, and a little snobbish (in a good way), no matter how simple I layer it over an outfit.

Haley Bieber, herself an “Old Money” darling, has the genetic predisposition to share my love of rich-girl trench coats. So just two weeks into the fall season, the Road Beauty founder was spotted wearing a fall investment piece that I can get behind.

On October 6, Bieber attended a coffee tasting at the Pacific Cafe in West Hollywood in a creamy, latte-inspired shade. He wore an ankle-length Saint Laurent tan trench coat with tortoiseshell buttons (a classic design detail). With a cinched waist and nothing visible underneath, Beaver's statement coat was more dress than outerwear.

She styled it with rich-girl favorites, including Miu Miu's $1,170 blue suede loafers and a black leather XL shoulder bag. As always, Bieber wore classic pieces in a modern, not stiff, way. Chunky tube socks and teeny sunglasses added a fresh twist to her basic pieces.

To further accentuate the coffee-inspired coloring of her “fit,” Bieber carried a Viral Rode cell phone case: fall edition. She came in a yet-to-be-released chocolate brown colorway that appeared to be inspired by the brand's “Espresso” lip tint.

Maximalism may be back in fashion, but judging by Bieber's casually sophisticated look, “quiet luxury” is not over yet. Perhaps the first leopard print outfit she was seen wearing to church was her last.
