Prince Charles Wants Prince William and Prince Harry to “Get Along” Before His 75th Birthday
King Charles will celebrate his 75th birthday on November 14, and according to new reports, the King wants to put an end to the alleged royal family feud before then.
“King Charles wants nothing more than to restore family peace,” a source told the Express.
“He wants to put past feuds to rest and for Prince William and Prince Harry to get along. In recent months, multiple reports have suggested that many members of the royal family want to end the rumored royal feud. According to sources, Princess Beatrice, Zara Tindall, Kate Middleton, and Meghan Markle are all working to end the ongoing rift between William and Harry. And now it appears that King Charles is also working to repair the strained family relationship.
“King Charles has been through so much since becoming king and has performed his duties bravely in the face of his own health problems,” a source told the Express. 'Now he wants to make memories with his wife, sons, and grandchildren. Especially as his milestone birthday approaches.”
Prince Charles broke the news of his cancer diagnosis in February. The king reportedly plans to take an 11-day trip to Australia and Samoa in October with his wife, Queen Camilla, to take a break from cancer treatment.
As for how Charles plans to spend his 75th birthday, the King reportedly hopes for a quiet affair.
“His Majesty is not one to make a big fuss about such things, but he is acutely aware of the recent flurry of royal events, and it is His Majesty's firm view that birthday celebrations should be kept to a minimum,” a source explained to the Daily Mail.
The Sun
According to The Sun, Camilla plans to hold an intimate dinner party at Highgrove on Charles' birthday. But don't expect the King to stop working on the big day either.
“He never stops working,” Camilla said of her husband in a 2013 interview with The Telegraph. 'He is exhausted. On any given day, he's always working. I jump up and down and say, 'Darling, can't we have a little peace and quiet and have some fun together? But he always has to get something done."
Camilla continued, ”He's so in the zone ...... You are out ...... But he's always in the zone, working, working, working...... He's stuck to his papers while I'm trying to sing 'Happy Birthday. I might have to hold up a sign that says 'Happy Birthday, Darling.'”
