Tina Knowles shares an insight into what it was like to raise Beyonce and Solange

Tina Knowles, mother of Beyonce and Solange Knowles, can definitely relate to the more challenging aspects of motherhood. [The teenage years feel the hardest, but it always gets better and the hard work pays off. That's what I really believe,” Tina told People at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in New York City on October 8. 'The more you love your children, the more you care for them, the more you support them, the more you get out of it.'

Tina, along with Mandy Teefey, Donna Kelce, and Maggie Baird, were honored as part of “The Moms” of 2024, and thus gave a moving speech at the ceremony.

“I have been blessed with so much in my life. I've had many careers, but I've always said the best job I've ever had is being a mother,” Tina said onstage. 'I've had the opportunity to raise four daughters and help ..... .two of them are my own and two of them are gifts from God. I was a rebellious teenager and didn't always follow the rules, but the day I became a mother I decided I would not let this one fail.”

Footage of the speech showed Beyonce in tears at her mother's emotional words.

(Incidentally, Tina considers Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams her two bonus daughters.)

In the cover story, Secred's VP was asked how motherhood was different from what she had imagined, and she replied, “I thought it would be very similar. I feel so honored to have had this job. It was the best job I've ever had.”

Very sweet!
