Beyonce's sparkling twist on the butter yellow trend is actually perfect for fall!
Beyonce made a trophy appearance at Glamour magazine's Woman of the Year Awards on Tuesday, October 8, in a trendy butter yellow and gold outfit. The star attended the annual event to support her mother, Tina Knowles, who was honored at the awards ceremony.
Her short-sleeved butter yellow crewneck knit was sandwiched between a gold silk slip maxi skirt from Sergio Hudson's Spring 2025 collection, which debuted at New York Fashion just a month ago. The “Texas Hold 'Em” singer and her stylist, Siona Turini, recreated the original runway styling by cinched the separates with a wide pastel yellow belt.
Nevertheless, the founder of Cécred hair care found several ways to add a fall spin to this ensemble. Translucent pale yellow mesh gloves, gold platform heels, and a gold purse adorned the three-piece outfit. She also wore a floor-sweeping fur coat and cat-eye sunglasses to the awards show.
Beyoncé recently chopped off her long silver waves and sported an icy blonde bob, and in September she revealed the fresh chop in an Instagram photo shared from a shoot for her whiskey brand Sir Davis. In that post, her white blonde hair was curled inward like actor Nastassja Kinski's in the 1984 film “Paris, Texas.” But on Tuesday, she took the opportunity to blow-dry it into bouncy curls with plenty of volume at the crown. As Dolly Parton once said, “The higher the hair, the closer to God.” To complete the look, the queen bee added hoop earrings, a pinky brown nude lip, and bronze eye shadow with a shimmering gold inner corner highlight.
Beyonce is not the only celebrity demonstrating how to transition the summer butter yellow trend into fall. Last month, Rihanna wore a butter yellow long teddy coat to celebrate the launch of Fenty Hair at Selfridges. And less than a week ago, Katie Holmes strolled around New York in a creamy yellow Banana Republic peacoat with flared jeans and loafers. Clearly, this alternate neutral color is going to last another season. With some of the greatest performers in existence endorsing the trend, we won't have much choice.
