Sabrina Carpenter changes from silver chainmail dress to baby doll LBD

[In Sabrina Carpenter's case, one is a life-size Polly Pocket in Victoria's Secret lingerie and the other is a super glamorous Marilyn Monroe lookalike. Her aesthetic goes back and forth between the two, often using the former for her onstage performances and the latter on the red carpet. And yesterday, she showcased both in the same evening.

On October 9, the “Please Please Please Please” singer attended the 2024 TIME100 Next Celebration in New York City. She was dressed in silver chainmail.

Styled by Jared Ellner, the Versace gown featured a large thigh-high slit, a fitted bodice, and a sweetheart neckline. A matching metallic scarf sparkled around the neck and was worn backwards like a choker. Carpenter's platform pumps are also themed in shiny silver.

Her lips were coated in a reflective brick-red gloss that matched the high-gloss elements of the look. Carpenter's blonde curls, meanwhile, were curled into elegant, vintage-inspired spirals.

Later that evening, the mood changed dramatically. She adopted a second look that was more in keeping with her baby-doll persona. Carpenter wore an all-black, teddy-style Versace swing dress with satin trim. All are big fans of the ribbon trend, her mini featured a dainty knot at the neck topped with the brand's Medusa logo

She kept the same glamour, but switched to patent leather peep-toe pumps and added sheer tights that signaled the beginning of fall.

Both are very different looks, but each exudes authentic Carpenter.
