Zendaya in an oversized Louis Vuitton tuxedo blazer and bubble skirt at Paris Fashion Week
Zendaya must have heard that fashion insiders missed her on this season's front row. In the final hours of Paris Fashion Week, she appeared on the Louis Vuitton Spring 2025 runway, ready to compete with the runway for the most coveted look of the night.
The Challengers star was dressed head-to-toe in Louis Vuitton outside the Louvre on October 1, as befits both the brand's front row and the brand ambassador's wardrobe. (Styled by her longtime image architect Lo Roach, Zendaya's look for the 2025 Cruise Collection blends the power shoulders of '80s suits with the bubbly volume of the resurgent bubble skirt trend of the early 2000s, matched with bold red lipstick.
Topping the look was a tuxedo blazer with an exaggerated white collar that seemed to float above the shoulders. No shirt was worn beneath it, emphasizing the dramatic contrast between the jacket's plunging neckline and the broad shoulders and nipped-in waist of the top. The red kerchief in the pocket coordinated with the bright red lip.
Zendaya winked at the bubble skirt trend that celebrities from Hailey Bieber to Kendall Jenner have embraced this year. Zendaya, however, gave it an haute couture twist. Underneath her tuxedo jacket, layers of fabric were unevenly bunched and folded. She further accentuated the high-contrast styling with fishnet tights and Zendaya-esque pumps. (Whether they are from her favorite brand, Louboutin, remains to be seen.)
Zendaya's latest sighting in Paris was not immediately available. She was last seen in the City of Light this past August, when she attended the Olympic kickoff event in a glittering Louis Vuitton gown. If she were to end her Fashion Week hiatus for anyone, it would be the famed French house. Current creative director Nicolas Ghesquière designed a corset gown in Wimbledon white for the Paris premiere, one of the highlights of Zendaya's Challengers press tour this spring. Last week, Z wore a stunning green Louis Vuitton bubble dress to the premiere of Dune: Part II in New York City. Her red carpet wardrobe isn't just bespoke or recent runway hits: she also pulled out a Marc Jacobs-era plaid set for the Challengers Tour.
Whatever Louis Vuitton's Spring 2025 runway looks like, fashion fans are unanimous in agreeing that Zendaya's surprise Paris Fashion Week appearance was worth the wait.
