Information about the Beyonce and Levi's collaboration arrived via a red illustration shared on Levi's Instagram account on September 23, 2024. It is almost identical to Beyonce's pose on the cover of Cowboy Carter.
“introducing:” Levi's captioned the post “New Chapter,” and within hours it had over 34,000 likes in a few hours. The brand tagged Beyonce's account on the cowgirl shirt. And... Here it is!
Beyonce's side has not shared this announcement or any other announcements about the collection at press time.
A day after the first teaser post dropped, fans of X (formerly Twitter) saw an advertisement for the upcoming collaboration firsthand. The painted mural references a 1950s Levi's “laundrette” ad and reads, “Reinventing with Beyonce.” The mural also depicts a close-up of a white T-shirt, belt, and jeans, perhaps alluding to what would appear in the collection.
Given that Levi's is one of the oldest denim companies in the U.S. and a celebrity favorite for its 501s, it is almost certain that the Beyoncé-Levis collaboration will include a lot of jeans. The lyrics of “Levii's Jeans” suggest that jeans with a slimmer, more form-fitting silhouette will definitely be in the mix.
For now, this is all speculation. Beyoncé and Levi's have shared nothing more than illustrations of the collaboration on Instagram: no behind-the-scenes shots of the design studio, no official press release, nothing. If Beyoncé's recent fashion is any clue, the lineup could include vintage hair scarves (like the bandana she wore in the Hamptons this summer) or chaps (like the set she wore on the Cowboy Carter record jacket).
Good question! Unfortunately, the initial announcement of Beyonce x Levi's did not mention when this collection would hit stores. However, an ad for “Laundrette” found on X stated that “Chapter I” would appear on September 30, 2024.
Rest assured that we will update this article as more information becomes available. In the meantime, let's get back to streaming Cowboy Carter.
