Read MorePrince William has been busy juggling his family life in the UK and his royal duties of late, but at the One805Live! fundraising concert in Santa Barbara, California, on September 20, his brother Prince Harry shot a video of him, and a 90s lover accidentally tagged him.
Backstage, the Duke of Sussex, who lives near Montecito, shared an overdue video shared by the pop star's wife, former MTV veejay Daisy Fuentes, in which she “did good!” ' he exclaimed, congratulating singer Richard Marx after his set.
However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle no longer have active Instagram accounts, but Fuentes ended up tagging Prince William and Kate Middleton's handle @princeandprincessofwales in her post ...and then tagged Prince William and Kate Middleton in her post. Oops.
Harry and Meghan stopped updating their @sussexroyal account in March 2020, when they retired from active royalty and moved to California. However, the account is still live on Instagram.
Mistaken identity aside, the event, which raised funds for local first responders and was hosted by Kevin Costner, was a star-studded affair, featuring celebrities like Cameron Diaz, Zoe Saldana, and Pink.
The Duchess of Sussex, however, was unable to attend the concert after appearing with Harry at a fundraiser last year.
At the event, Prince Harry honored Santa Barbara County air support pilot Lauren Courtney, calling him a “hero.”
“As you've probably heard by now, I've been in the military for 22 years, over 10,000 hours, always flying helicopters, and I rarely see my family,” the Duke of Sussex told the crowd.
Ironically, Prince William trained as a helicopter rescue pilot in the Royal Air Force and worked as an East Anglian air ambulance pilot before taking on full-time royal duties.
Courtney shared some stories from her time working as a rescue pilot, stating, “In the military, I learned not to leave anyone behind.”
“You are one of many heroes here tonight,” Prince Harry told Courtney. 'There are people here tonight who are alive because of you, who are back with their families because of you.
