Laila and Kate Moss Wear Transparent LBDs at Saint Laurent's Paris Fashion Week Show
Lila Moss makes a strong case for nepo babies. Society loves to hate those who are genetically gifted and have a professional advantage that we lowly mortals can only dream of. And while it is tempting to say, “They only got their jobs because of their parents,” when it comes to models, there is no denying genetics.
Take Lila, for example. This second-generation model inherited her mother Kate's multi-million dollar smile and magnetic presence in front of the camera; 21-year-old Laila Moss looks almost identical to her mother, pictured at the same age, with long blonde hair and a signature sultry gaze.
Their resemblance was especially apparent on September 24, when the mother-daughter duo walked the same red carpet in nearly identical outfits at Saint Laurent's recent Paris Fashion Week runway show.
On Tuesday, the Mosses had a front row seat to the Spring 2025 collection inspired by the wardrobe of Saint Laurent founder Yves Saint Laurent. Laila wore black lace and a sheer spaghetti-strapped gown that showed off her matching undergarments. A leather belt wrapped around her waist and black satin crisscross pumps completed the boudoir-inspired look.
Her eyes were smudged with smoky charcoal pigment and her hair hung down in grunge waves. It was very similar to her mother's trademark hairstyle.
Kate Moss also wore a sheer black look, but hers was composed of velvet and tulle. While her daughter's look was bold and lingerie-like, Kate's was elegant and understated. She wore a crushed velvet blazer with sparkling beadwork on the lapels. The dress below was more revealing than Lila's, but the hip-revealing hemline of the jacket made it look modest.
Glamour was also the name of the game when it came to accessories: the OG supermodel styled her hair into a sexy slicked-back look that highlighted the huge rectangular statement earrings dangling from each ear. Her wrists also got the metallic treatment, each wrapped in a thick gold bangle
.
Say what you will, these two were born to be in the spotlight.
