The “Please Please Please Please” singer kicked off her Short and Sweet Tour in Columbus, Ohio, on September 23 in a custom Victoria's Secret lingerie set. Carpenter's recent stage look, by stylist Jared Ellner, is a feminine take on pinup-style corsets and bodysuits. Sequins, pastel colors, and towering platform boots are frequent guest stars at her shows. But for the first show of her headlining tour, Carpenter upped the pure energy a few notches. Her baby pink strapless bodysuit, baby doll, and stockings were hand beaded with thousands of crystals.

According to the brand, Carpenter's custom lingerie took 140 hours to complete by hand. The finished details include a subtle 70s flower along the cup of the bodysuit, as well as a red lipstick kiss just below Carpenter's left hip. The overall styling also embraced a feminine throwback aesthetic with flowing curls, feathery bangs, shiny pink blush, and fluttery mascara.
