Best Looks for the 2024 WNBA Playoff Tunnel, Aja Wilson to Caitlin Clark
Paris Fashion Week has kicked off, with shows by Saint Laurent and Dior and runways by Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, and Cara Delevingne. But despite the industry's top talent in attendance, the eyes of the fashion world have shifted a bit closer to home: Las Vegas.
Some of the nation's most talented athletes descended on Nevada for the 2024 WNBA playoffs, bringing their own brand of enthusiasm. Athletes are once again using the concrete catwalk to showcase their style.
Over the past year, famous basketball players have become as famous for their pre-game outfits as they are for their athletic prowess (at least among certain spectators). In fact, during September's Fashion Month, the front row was already filled with top-class athletes.
Ahead, check out some of the best tunnel walk outfits by A'ja Wilson, Caitlin Clark, and others.
Marie Claire cover star A'ja Wilson made an appearance at the Michelob Ultra Arena in all denim. She wore a zip-up jean dress with a built-in caramel leather bra. Wilson skillfully styled the look with suede boots and a Louis Vuitton barrel-shaped bag.
The double bag trend was in. Caitlin Clark came in wearing a classic trench coat in creamy leather. But her accessories were the star of the show, carrying a Coach bag in maroon and mustard.
If you're looking for inspiration for weekend outfits, Ezi Magbegor's coords are a great place to start. The player paired a pinstripe miniskirt with a cropped button-up. She finishes with simple black loafers and contrasting socks for an easy but stylish “fit.”
Here's my personal favorite look by Sydney Colson of Las Vegas Ace. She wore a leather suit trimmed with jumbo bubble studs. Styled with a black duffle and matching silver necklace, she was the cool girl herself.
Megan Gustafson scored big points for creativity. She wore a custom T-shirt with her dog Pancake on it. Tucked into a silver pencil skirt, the look was playful yet elevated.
Adding an appropriately sporty touch to her two-piece suit, Gabby Williams tunneled in with a gray jacket and matching pants. But instead of the classic button-up, the athlete layered it over a black bandeau bra.
Skylar Diggins-Smith kept the streetwear vibe alive in a white Puma sweat suit. She leveled up the look with a matching crimson lip and sunglasses (a trademark of effortless cool).
