Amal Clooney stuns on the red carpet at Albee's in a Versace gown.
Amal Clooney must be the world's most gorgeous human rights lawyer. Whether she's running around the Venice Film Festival with her actor husband George Clooney or vacationing in St. Tropez, whenever she's out and about, she can always be counted on to look the part. Seriously, this woman's idea of airport attire is a citrus Celine jumpsuit and a Prada shoulder bag. From head to toe, she oozes glamour. And so it was last night.
At the Clooney for Justice Foundation's third annual The Albies on September 26, Clooney graced the red carpet in a sleeveless black Versace gown with a full chested sweetheart neckline. The dress flared slightly to accentuate her curves and then pooled into an elegant train. George, on the other hand, opted for a classic black tuxedo and a large silver watch.
The awards ceremony, held Thursday at the New York Public Library in Bryant Park, was named for anti-apartheid hero Judge Albie Sachs and, according to the foundation's website, “shines a protective spotlight on courageous defenders of justice who are at risk and send a message to those who abuse human rights that the world is watching.”
The humanitarian adorned her stunning gown with a small black clutch bag, diamond drop earrings, and multiple diamond cuff bracelets, including one studded with emeralds. Her brunette hair, with balayage highlights, was curled into Old Hollywood waves for the occasion, and a moody red nail polish matched her lipstick.
Her makeup for the day was courtesy of Charlotte Tilbury Cosmetics. And lucky for us, we know exactly which products were used to create that look. Amal Clooney's lips were lined and lacquered with the brand's Lip Cheat lip liner and Matte Revolution lipstick (both in red carpet red). Meanwhile, her eyes were smeared with Eyes to Mesmerize in Champagne and Hypnotizing Pop Shots in Pillow Talk Diamond. Her blush was TikTok favorite, Beauty Light Wonk in Pinkgasm.
This year's Albi also happened to be the eve of the couple's 10th wedding anniversary, and they looked very much in love.
“I support anything that my wife is involved in,” George told People about Amal at the event. She's always been on the right side of history and I'm always proud to be in the same room with her no matter what, and this is an event that can bring all the attention to people who don't get enough attention.”
Amal spoke of George's unwavering support.
“He's been a great advocate and it means a lot to me to be able to do this work together and help bring to life some of the stories we are telling tonight,” she added to the outlet.
Memorably, Amal wore a bridal white Versace gown at Albee's last year. The relationship with the Italian designer is long, perhaps because the two were linked in Venice and still own a home near Lake Como.
Dua Lipa aside. Clearly, Clooney is still the ultimate Versace muse.
