Daisy Edgar-Jones opts for a floral bra and $4,700 suede bag on the Gucci front row
Daisy Edgar-Jones attended Creative Director Sabato De Sarno's Spring 2025 show at Milan Fashion Week on September 20. The Twisters actor and her signature brunette curtain bangs perfectly embodied the transition to a boho chic aesthetic with a matching knit set that showcased her action hero abs.
Her three-piece look, culled from the Italian designer's Cruise 2025 collection, featured a sheer bralette, hot pants, and a cropped cardigan, all made of sheer white lace embroidered with tiny flowers. It was a fitting choice, given that Edgar-Jones starred in the advertising campaign for this collection. Frankly, I never get tired of seeing Daisy in floral clothing and leaning on her own name.
The actor more or less replicated the original runway styling with camel suede horsebit ballet flats shoes, a pearl-studded choker necklace, and pearl stud earrings. However, the Normal People star deviated a bit by adding black oval sunglasses. She also replaced the oversized canvas and brown leather half-moon bag she wore on the catwalk and the newly introduced Gucci B bag with an embossed brown leather Jackie 1961 bag (currently available in Gucci boutiques for $4,700 ). 5]
This is not the first time Edgar-Jones has taken sheer inspiration from the Cruise 2025 collection: in July, she wore a semi-transparent black organza blouse over a lace bralette to Rosewood in London. She paired the see-through chemise with a black daisy-print midi skirt, black “Signoria” slingback heels, and a small black Jackie bag.
The see-through trend initially took hold in 2022, with shock value and a penchant for wearing as little as possible, similar to the spirit of the no-pants craze; in 2023 and 2024, designers tempered their approach by emphasizing mixing sheer layers with other easy-to-wear clothes For Spring 2025, Tibi, Toteme, Brandon Maxwell, Ralph Lauren Collection, and others will make sheer dressing even more strategic and elegant by layering opaque separates over gorgeous sheath dresses and mesh skirts for added coverage. And Daisy Edgar Jones takes on at least one of these looks on the runway.
