Selena Gomez's billionaire style starts with two little black dresses and $18,000 earrings
Little black dresses are as common on the red carpet as celebrities. And while there are dozens of LBDs, it is rare to see a star wearing two different styles in one day. But Selena Gomez is literally the poster child for rarity (and founder and newly minted billionaire). So naturally, she rocked two black dresses in just a few hours.
Gomez headed to Canada to attend the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, styling looks by Erin Walsh in the process. Her first stop was a step-and-repeat at the TIFF Tribute Awards hosted by Variety on September 8. The CEO of Rare Beauty lived up to her title in a professional mini-dress by Anine Bing.
With sheer black tights and simple satin pumps (with a chic pointed toe, of course), her look was decidedly elegant. Coupled with her simple glamour, the star looked incredibly sophisticated.
A feminized version of the classic black suit, this style has been chosen many times for its wearability and versatility, and Gomez was a shining example of this by wearing not one, but two styles. Later at the same event, the “Lose You to Love Me” singer took the stage to present the award, along with Emilia Perez's co-stars Carla Sofia Gascon and Zoe Saldana.
She wore a long-sleeved noir gown with a feather embellishment around her neck, giving the understated design the glamour it needed. The over-the-top energy continued throughout the look with the addition of a diamond ring and Tiffany's iconic large link earrings.
Diamond-encrusted platinum danglers, a celebrity favorite of stars like Dua Lipa and Caitlin Clark, cost a whopping $18,000. It's a fitting choice for the beauty mogul. (See: Her Billionaire Status.)
While Gomez's look costs well over five figures, her aesthetic can be emulated for much less. Shop the selection of LBDs that radiate the energy of a billionaire down the road, without the price tag.
