Say what you will about Kim Kardashian, but she knows what she likes. While she regularly plays with up-and-coming trends, the mogul has always stayed true to her own style. Generally, that means curve-enhancing silhouettes, super high heels, and latex rubber. Naturally, her latest look checks all three of these boxes.

On Monday, September 9, Kardashian landed in New York City to attend Kering's third annual Caring For Women dinner. Kardashian was joined on the red carpet by stars like Priyanka Chopra, Salma Hayek, and Kerry Washington, and as always, her look stood out in the crowd.

She wore a skin-tight dress in a creamy white tone from Balenciaga's Spring 2024 collection. It was a simple sleeveless design with a slit down the back (Kim K's favorite). The ivory gown, presumably made of rubber, had the wet feel of a soaked T-shirt.

Kardashian may be happily divorced, but her outfit had a strong bridal tinge. However, she wore a dress that looked like a wedding cake, not a wedding dress. The neckline of her dress was trimmed with a kind of buttercream frosting piped with flat tips of basket weave.

The look, styled by Dani Levy, featured more of Kardashian's favorite styles. Black pointed-toe pumps were simply paired with black pumps for a glamorous, Kim-esque look. She used a smoky bronze eye and matching lip (probably using SKKN by Kim products) and glossy gel curls that mimicked the wet look of the dress. Nails were also in keeping with the theme, with pointed nails adorned with simple white French tips (commonly used in bridal wear).

While this year's wedding dress trends are diverse and playful, there was no “frost-inspired” on my 2024 bingo card.
