Suki Waterhouse elevates a nearly naked dress with a huge pink personality coat.

Suki Waterhouse is a veritable '70s darling, channeling a sepia-toned aesthetic from the days of Daisy Jones and the Six to the era of maternity fashion. Now that boho chic is back, Waterhouse made her first post-pregnancy appearance at New York Fashion Week. She wore a near-naked dress and a huge, shaggy, unique pink coat.

On Tuesday, September 10, Waterhouse was spotted at the Michael Kors Spring 2025 runway show. Her look was a sheer pale pink lace midi dress embellished with pink and silver sequins. She also wore matching high-waisted briefs underneath.

While last year's focus was on quiet luxury, Waterhouse's Fashion Week ensembles embraced larger, more flamboyant silhouettes. Oversized shaggy faux fur coats over nearly naked gowns.

Waterhouse kept accessories to a minimum, pairing open-toed nude heels with silver jewelry. Her signature voluminous blonde waves and curtain bangs completed the 70s vibe.

“Less is more” was a common refrain of this summer's stars. But the pendulum of fashion trends is swinging back to larger silhouettes that make statements with little effort. Rihanna, known for her ultra-exaggerated faux fur like Saint Laurent's, would agree.

Of all the fall outerwear trends, the trench coat may reign supreme this season, along with stars from Zendaya to Angelina Jolie, who are already sporting timeless styles. But fashion week or not, Suki Waterhouse is proving that there is room for “more” on the fall trend radar.
