Kaia Gerber in a low-cut little black dress like Cindy Crawford in the early 2000s.
[My family, for example, is known for its bouncy ginger curls, artistic talent, and clinical anxiety. The Gerber-Crawford family, on the other hand, has inherited modeling talent, towering stature (both mother and daughter are 5'5"), and an affinity for little black dresses. All three traits were reflected in Kaia Gerber's latest red carpet appearance on September 10 in Toronto, Canada. The second-generation model attended the premiere of her new film “Saturday Night” during the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, and the look lived up to the family name.
Gerber looked exactly like her mother Cindy Crawford in the 2000s, in a floor-length DKNY dress with a dangerously low cowl neckline that almost reached her navel. Styling was by Molly Dixon, who began working with her over the summer.
She styled it with two thick gold bangles stacked on top of each other, but her hair was truly the cherry on top. She rocked the signature bouncy blowout that Crawford made famous.
The LBD is a major player in most wardrobes, but Crawford is particularly fond of this staple. The supermodel has worn this style many times in her long career. She has worn every possible variation, from the ornate and glittery to the simple and understated. Gerber's look, however, reminds me of one particular dress.
In 2009, Cindy Crawford walked the red carpet at the London premiere of Fantastic Mr. Fox. She was dressed in a long black dress with a low neckline.
More recently, Crawford walked the red carpet with her daughter, wearing a dress of similar design. Crawford is a knee-length cowl-neck dress. Crawford wore a knee-length cowl-neck dress, which she paired with a red clutch bag at an Omega event in July 2024. (They are both ambassadors for the luxury watch brand.)
God bless genetics.
