If there's one thing we can say about Selena Gomez, it's that she wears little black dresses. This beauty mogul loves LBDs and never wastes an opportunity to wear one at all. In the past week alone, Gomez wore not one, but two different styles at the annual Toronto Film Festival. And at this year's Emmy Awards, the actor made his much-anticipated red carpet appearance.

Gomez, a first-time nominee, is nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Only Murders in the Building. For this honor, Gomez appeared in her customary formal style.

Gomez was dressed in a floor-length Ralph Lauren halter dress with a flared mermaid skirt. The dress featured a sparkling neckline composed of square crystals, effectively eliminating the need for a necklace. Drawing even more attention to the crystal detailing, Gomez's look was styled with platinum diamond jewelry.

Her stylist, Erin Walsh, said that she aimed for “effortless elegance” when composing the look, and it is safe to say that she succeeded.

Gomez's hairstyle also aimed for “effortless elegance and high shine,” said hairstylist Marissa Marino. We were inspired by her Ralph Lauren gown.”

Gomez straightened her dark hair, tucking it behind her ears to reveal leafy, diamond-studded Tiffany & Co. earrings. Her charm was also brought to life by the subtle allure of her look, which was composed of clean neutral colors.

While her 2024 ensemble was typically Gomez, her look at the last Emmy Awards was somewhat curvy. Gomez attended the 2023 ceremony in January and wore a contemporary naked dress with aplomb. Designed by Oscar de la Renta, she was covered in burgundy sequins and wore a moody lip color to match.

I think I can speak for all of us when I say: give this woman an Emmy.
