Greta Lee to Wear Loewe Wedding Dress on 2024 Emmy Awards Red Carpet
While her IMDB has the proverbial laundry list of impressive roles (from “Past Lives” to Netflix's “Russian Doll”), Greta Lee is arguably more famous for her red carpet exploits, including her Emmy Awards.
With the help of stylist Danielle Goldberg, the actor has mastered the art of understated sophistication, wowing the crowd with simple yet artful items every time she steps out in public. Lee never over-accessorizes, allowing the beautiful structure of each outfit (she tends to favor architectural designs) to speak for itself.
This was evident at her first Emmy Awards, which she won in 2017. Lee wore a voluminous iridescent green maxi skirt with a Christopher John Rogers bubble-style crop top. The coordinating look was clearly ahead of its time, and was featured years before this summer's viral bubble trend hit the scene.
The actor stuck to the same script for the 2024 awards ceremony. Nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, the morning show actor wore a unique Loewe gown.
The white fabric (ivory lace) was bridal appropriate, and the neckline seemed to come straight off the runway. The draped neckline was reminiscent of a scarf made of the same white fabric. Lee described the look to ABC as “very fresh,” and she was right.
Like Lee, Starr kept her hair and makeup simple. Pin-straight hair was tucked neatly behind her ears and accessorized with purple jewels and diamond studs. She also carried no bag (another Lee signature) and styled it only with strappy silver pumps and a matching cocktail ring.
Lee then changed into a dusty blue dress with cutouts throughout the bodice. She changed into a dress with a revealing abdomen to present the award with Lily Gladstone, who was also nominated.
Although she ultimately did not receive the official award, Lea won Best Dressed in my opinion.
