Taylor Russell to Boost Bubble Skirt Trend at 2024 Venice International Film Festival

While stars such as Olivia Rodrigo and Angelina Jolie have been sporting look after look at this year's Venice International Film Festival, Taylor Russell is without a doubt the breakout star of the week. Her outfits are unparalleled, and they all showcase a sophisticated taste of this summer's biggest fashion trends (with the addition of vintage Chanel). Her latest appearance elevated the bubble skirt trend while bringing glamour.

On September 2, she walked the red carpet at the Venice International Film Festival, where the movie “Room Next Door” premiered, in a head-to-toe white dress. She wore a custom Alaia coordinating outfit styled by Jarryl Weaver that included an angular crop top and drop-waist skirt.

The voluminous piece was a great representation of 2024's most popular silhouette, the bubble skirt. But instead of the typical mini-length, Russell's was an ankle-baring midi-length.

Russell looked neat and proper from the front, but the back of the dress was utterly daring. The design detail mimicked the straps of patent leather pumps.

Like her look, Russell's jewelry had a playful allure. A diamond-studded Tiffany choker, diamond drop earrings, and $7,400 pearl stud earrings. Her new cropped hairstyle kept all the focus on her dazzling adornments.

This week, Russell opted for white. including a gorgeous dress with a long train that wrapped around her neck like a scarf.

In her first festival appearance of the season, Russell again went for structure, volume, and an all-white color story. She wore a vintage Chanel ivory bustier dress with a see-through mesh bodice and a giant foam topper embellished with leaf-like embroidery.

Brides of 2025 take note.
