Dua Lipa wears vintage crochet cover-up over metallic string bikini

In recent years, leaves have become one of the trendiest motifs in the fashion world. Roses, anthuriums, and hibiscus have all been given their due by high-end designers like Loewe and Jean Paul Gaultier. Now, carnations are finally (literally) coming into the light of day.

On the beach in Verano, Italy, pop star Dua Lipa was wearing a blouse from the Moschino archives. The cream-colored blouse was adorned with crocheted vines and powder pink carnations, and despite being dubbed a “filler flower” in a 2003 episode of Sex and the City, this laid-back look made the polarized flowers undeniably cool made.

Her cover-up was a piece of fashion history in its own right, but the bikini it covered was also worth a quick zoom in. Ripa paired this vintage item with a beach staple: white linen pants and a metallic string bikini.
