Bella Hadid Revives Gatsby Era Elegance in Another Stunning Vintage Gown
Bella Hadid may have replaced the Paris Fashion Week runway this summer with Texas equestrian competitions, layered denim looks, oversized hats, and leather chaps, but she's wearing breathtaking, Great Gatsby-inspired gowns that fall (and a new perfume fragrance) has arrived.
Earlier this week, while celebrating the launch of her latest Orebella fragrance, the supermodel was spotted wearing a purple and beige vintage Zuhair Murad gown from the model's impressive throwback archives.
The fairy floor-length gown was adorned with pale floral sequins on the skirt and bust and a coquette ribbon, giving it a Roaring Twenties vibe.
Hadid was styled by the incomparable Molly Dixon, of course. She created a number of the model's recent looks to celebrate the launch of her latest fragrance, Nightcap. [one of which was a Christian Dior gown by John Galliano for the Spring 2003 collection, a trend this year that was nearly nude and barely revealing.
The all-black gown defied the laws of gravity and featured a plunging bow neckline that ended near the model's lower abdomen.
Hairstylist Bryce Scarlett was also responsible for Hadid's recent luscious locks, including a messy updo featuring curls that framed and draped her face perfectly, and tousled waves that complemented the vintage, 20s-inspired gown
She is also responsible for the sun's light.
For her sun-kissed look, Hadid thanks Palestinian makeup artist Nadia Tayeh.
Hadid's latest series of ballerina gowns and vintage looks are in stark contrast to her 2024 minimalist girl's summer wardrobe.
Of course, anyone who has followed Hadid knows that she is a fan and aficionado of vintage gowns; in 2022, while attending the Cannes Film Festival, stylist Lo Roach opened up about the supermodel's endless vintage ensembles opened up about it.
“Our love of archives and vintage brought us together, and we thought it would be cool to focus on that,” Roach told Women's Wear Daily at the time. 'Because I think clothes should have more than one life. I don't think clothes should sit in a closet. There are so many beautiful, wonderful things out there that were made years and years ago.
“We talked about it and I think she wanted to feel differently than she did last year,” he continued.
“I think last season she solidified her status as Queen of Cannes with Schiaparelli and Gaultier. The clothes speak for themselves, don't they?
