Bella Hadid proves butterfly fashion is here with floral Valentino top
Bella Hadid is exuding serious flower power as she continues to promote the latest fragrance from her perfume collection Orebella.
While attending an Orebella event on Saturday, August 24, the supermodel wore a vintage Valentino butterfly corset top from the brand's Spring/Summer 2004 collection.
The model took to her Instagram Stories to share a series of photos of herself posing in the top (along with the perfume), creating a serious floral summer vibe that (to no one's surprise) is in line with this summer's fashion trends.
In 2004, Vogue reported at the time that Valentino aimed to “translate” the season's trend message about lace and lingerie “into endlessly fragile corseted dresses with gently falling ruffles.”
The collection featured a “butterfly theme” expressed in various prints, canvas day bags, belts, and hair ornaments, which the magazine noted “looked romantic and dainty.”
The flower-power and butterfly-themed vintage tops were in keeping with Hadid's recent ensembles from her vast vintage collection.
On Friday, August 23, stylist Molly Dixon published a series of photos on Instagram of Hadid posing in a stunning, barely-there Dior gown.
The all-black gown featured a plunging bow neckline that defied the laws of gravity and ended near the model's lower abdomen; John Galliano's Christian Dior gown from the Spring 2003 collection was this year's trend, almost naked was nearly naked.
Models also wore vintage Zuhair Murad gowns inspired by purple and beige Gatsby, again with flowers, butterflies, and a fair vibe. The floor-length gown had pale floral sequins on the skirt and bust and a coquette ribbon.
The vintage, butterfly and floral gowns were somewhat of a departure for Hadid, who credited hairstylist Bryce Scarlett, Palestinian makeup artist Nadia Tayeh, and Dixon for her latest look She credits them with her latest look. This summer, Hadid is feeling like a cowgirl, competing in equestrian competitions.
Whether it's a series of layered denim looks, big hats, leather chaps, daisy dukes, the infamous Canadian tuxedo, or the ever-trendy cowboy boots. Hadid has embraced her Horse Girl days (even while dating professional equestrian Adan Banuelos).
