Kylie Jenner Revives the 2013 Bra Top Trend in a Way Only She Can

In 2013, the bandeau bra was a must-have on everyone's shopping list. The undergarment was trending heavily on Pinterest alongside now-defunct trends like circle scarves and high-low dresses, and after a decade-long hiatus, the style is slowly making its way back into mainstream fashion. In fact, Kylie Jenner wore the style for her cover shoot for British Vogue.

On August 13, the reality TV star shared a behind-the-scenes look at a photo shoot for the September issue, styled by Eve Camara. Posing with a cup of tea in hand, Jenner appeared in a bandeau bra top in addition to her “grandma-core” outfit.

Previously paired with feather tattoos and skinny jeans, Jenner's styling was much more current. Her look consisted of a floral skirt, a butter yellow cardigan (another 2010s favorite), and a black bandeau top.

Bandeau tops used to only be available in pastel lace, but modern bandeau tops are much more sophisticated. Jenner's, for example, features poplin fabric and ruffles throughout. The outfit was kept simple with strappy sandals, especially Manolo Blahnik's $645 black sandals.

This ensemble may seem a bit plain for Jenner, who is generally known for her curve-hugging and spicy swimsuits. (See: the open-back black dress she wore on her 27th birthday while on vacation in the Bahamas last weekend.) But lately, she's been leaning toward the trendy “cotajecoa” aesthetic. And while this look shows a little skin thanks to her dear friend Bandhu, the outfit as a whole falls into the “grandma core” category.
