When she stepped off the plane on Monday, August 12, the actress-turned-philanthropist-turned-fashion-designer defied all conventional wisdom about summer airplane attire. Namely, that she should wear comfortable sneakers to walk fast through the airport, or stretch out in her seat and wear stretchy leggings. Instead, she headed to the runway in towering espadrille sandals, a summer shoe trend that she reports from Copenhagen Fashion Week and central London.

Jolie chose what appeared to be Christian Louboutin sandals with leather straps and espadrille soles for her afternoon flight.
