Jenna Ortega's “Beetlejuice” green leather dress features a terrifying shrunken head

Jenna Ortega saw your kid-girl green and grew it into Beetlejuice green. The actor started her own color trend when she promoted the sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice in Naucalpan de Juarez, Mexico. She leaned into the film's signature color scheme, wearing head-to-toe leather in a rich shade of forest green.

On August 14, the star stepped out in a custom-made, knee-length strapless dress by Lulu Line. The fitted bodice was embossed with a small shrunken head with its mouth sewn shut, a reference to the famous final scene of the original 1988 film. The stitching continues into the pencil skirt, which has a cascade of suede fringe at the hem. Her dress was an archival Vivienne Westwood dress made of nude tulle.

According to her stylist, Enrique Melendez, the gruesome garment, like the new reboot, was inspired by “the magical world of Tim Burton,” who directed the original film.
