Meghan Markle embodies the carefree elegance of summer in an all-white outfit
On the third day of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's visit to Colombia, Meghan Markle holds a master class in easy summer elegance fashion.
On Saturday, August 17, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited the historic village of San Basilio de Palenque, outside Cartagena, Colombia, which in 1619 became the first free African town in the Americas.
During his visit, Markle wore an all-white outfit that embodied effortless, crisp summer elegance.
For her second outfit of the day, Markle chose a sleeveless white blouse by Argento, a rayon blend with a comfortable stretch and soft feel, which she paired with a white maxi skirt by Posse.
And since Markle is the queen of combining fashion and diplomacy, she completed the look with a white wide-brimmed sun hat with a black bow, courtesy of Colombia-based brand Hanja Char.
According to the official royal website, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were “greeted by a performance of the Colombian national anthem by local students,” after which “they greeted each other in Spanish and expressed their heartfelt thanks to the community for their warm welcome.”
During the royal family's week-long visit to Colombia, Markle has combined elegance, fashion, and politics through her many stylish outfits.

She paired the look with a stunning necklace by Cartier.
The royal family also paid homage to the past by wearing accessories that evoke the history of the monarchy for those in the know (and paying close attention).
For example, the Duchess of Sussex wore Princess Diana's butterfly earrings while dressed in a classic blazer, button-up, black pants, and Chanel ballet shoes.
As Marie Claire previously reported, former Princess Diana first wore the earrings during an official visit to Canada in 1986.
Markle wore the earrings when she visited kindergarten students, in a way a subtle tribute to her late mother-in-law, who had been a kindergarten teacher before joining the royal family.
