Zendaya Supports Tom Holland's Final Performance of "Romeo and Juliet" - Plus, Fall Wide-Leg Denim Trends
Zendaya returned to London from a quick trip to the Paris Olympics and showed her support for both her boyfriend Tom Holland and the fall 2024 trend of wide-leg denim.
Zendaya attended the final performance of Holland's "Romeo and Juliet" at the Duke of York Theatre in London on Sunday, August 3. Unlike the first day, when she played Shakespeare's heroine in a Vivienne Westwood corseted dress, Z opted for a more modest attire. The top was a cropped beige blazer with a floral print at the hem. On the bottom, she wore a pair of acid-washed wide jeans.
Clothing for the closing night was casual, but the accessories were over-the-top. She stepped out of her car in high Christian Louboutin So Kate heels and slung a Louis Vuitton Diane bag over her shoulder. Zendaya also carried a huge bouquet of roses to toast Holland's performance.
Summer is not even half over, but celebrities like Zendaya are already championing the fall trend of wide denim. From Stella McCartney to Ganni, celebrities like Katie Holmes and Reese Witherspoon are among the first to try them on after they hit the runway next season.
Most stars pair baggy, wide-leg jeans with trendy sneakers or ballet flats, but Zendaya is not like other celebrities. She chose Christian Louboutin's So Kate pumps because of a styling trick she and image architect Lo Roach have developed since their Disney days.
On "The Cutting Room Floor," a podcast hosted by Recho Omondi, Roach explained that dressing Zendaya in Louboutin's sophisticated style was literally about enhancing her image from the start. "People would say, 'I'll send you shoes,' and I'd say, 'She only wears Thor Cates,'" Roach said.
In the years since, Roach and Zendaya's partnership has spanned everything from tennis-themed outfits for Challengers promos to glittering Louis Vuitton gowns for the Olympics. Meanwhile, Zendaya's move to London has unleashed a more understated side of her style. In recent London looks, the Dune star has been experimenting with the mesh flat shoe trend and upgrading her tiny halter top to classic ballerina shoes.
