Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber in an elegant wedding guest dress and mother-daughter co-ordination.
Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber's mother-daughter outfit-coordinating habits aren't limited to the red carpet.
Crawford shared a snapshot of her daughter Kaia Gerber, her husband Rande Gerber, and their son Presley Gerber at their wedding on Sunday (4). First observation: this family has great genes. Second observation: Kaia Gerber, 22, and Cindy Crawford, 58, were obviously texting each other while choosing their wedding guest dresses.
They didn't match exactly, but they coordinated skillfully (and elegantly). Gerber wore a form-fitting emerald green dress with a ruffled skirt and a nipped-in halter neck. Her mother chose a watercolor floral slip, the same green as her daughter's dress, with splashes of purple and yellow. Kaia wore black kitten heels and Cindy nude-colored slide sandals. The exact tags for their dresses were not available at press time.
Anyone looking at Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber can see the family resemblance; the two also share a style DNA that appears all over the red carpet. The pair attended the 2024 Paris Olympics last week, and appeared in coordinated little black dresses at a party hosted by luxury watch brand Omega. Kaia's Gucci mini featured a sweetheart neckline and short hem, while Cindy Crawford opted for a cowl-neck midi. Before posing together in an official setting, the two walked the streets of Paris in matching black and navy outfits.
Even when they don't choose the exact same outfit, the two like to plan outfits together. For example, at the recent National Book Awards, Gerber and Crawford complemented each other in a floor-length caramel-colored gown (the former) and a bright white suit (the latter).
Today, Kaia Gerber's closet differs from her mother's in one important respect. Gerber is the newest client of celebrity stylist Molly Dixon, who also works red carpet magic with Sidney Sweeney, Cami Mendes, and Bella Hadid. Dixon told "Marie Claire" that she tries to work with "cool girls." There's nothing cooler than a daughter who actively wants to be matched with her mother, both during and after work.
