This summer's nail trends were diverse. Meghan Markle endorsed the royal nail trend known as bubble bath manicures, and Blake Lively debuted micro floral nails. But there were also polish surprises: Zendaya and Selena Gomez showed up in maroon manicures, and Hailey Bieber solidified the butter yellow nail trend. But perhaps the most surprising look of the season was Jennifer Lopez's electric blue manicure.

Jennifer Lopez is traditionally a no-frills nail girl. She is known for opting for soft pinks and creams, and even her Bridgerton-themed birthday manicure was based on a cream blush. However, she does occasionally use a pop of color.

On Monday, August 5, shortly after the Atlas star was spotted shopping in St. Agni linen pants, Lopez's go-to nail artist, Tom Bachik, Instagrammed a throwback photo of the singer's "electric blue" manicure published. Lucky for us, he even revealed the exact shade used for the manicure: "Cobalt Blue" by Korean gel nail brand Mithmillo.

The bright, dare I say neon blue may remind you of Y2K, but it's easy to add a pop of color to a chic, sophisticated outfit. Besides, neon is surprisingly easy to wear. Rachel Apfel Glass, founder of Glosslab, previously told Marie Claire about nail trends for 2024: "Neon is not just for summer." We're going to see tons of bright shades to spice up outfits."
